Library systemsSolutions and services
Information an organisation has to keep under control: library collections, documents in the archive, data in corporate systems.
We develop and deploy the systems that manage it — library systems KOHA and FOLIO with search VuFind, digital archives in line with OAIS and digitisation from large-format to 3D. In addition artificial intelligence on on-premise models, which does not let data leave the organisation, and bespoke development with integrations to enterprise systems.
Implementation, data migration and support of open library systems KOHA (ILS), FOLIO (LSP) and discovery interfaces VuFind — for libraries, universities, museums and public administration. Open systems with no licence fees, with full control over the data and the interface.
ILS (integrated library system) covers the catalogue, loans and acquisitions; LSP (a library services platform) adds electronic resource management to that; discovery is a single search across all collections at once — the reader searches in one place, wherever the source may be.
We have people on the team who have implemented KOHA in Slovak libraries — including a centrally operated solution for several libraries and migrations from commercial systems. We know what the transition involves in data, in processes and for people.
Long-term preservation (LTP) in line with the reference model OAIS (ISO 14721:2025) — trustworthy preservation of digital documents for archives, memory institutions and organisations with records management. The solution includes electronic signing and trustworthy archiving of signed documents, in which the signatures do not lose validity over time.
LTP is not a backup: a backup restores a file, whereas a trusted archive guarantees that a document will still be readable, authentic and demonstrably unchanged decades from now. The model OAIS prescribes the whole life cycle — data ingest (SIP packages), preservation (AIP) and access (DIP); the standard ISO 16363:2025 defines the trustworthiness audit of the entire archive.
Our team includes people who were there when a nationwide digital archive of cultural heritage was built to OAIS — with a capacity in the tens of petabytes, geographical redundancy and preparation for trustworthy repository certification under ISO 16363:2025.
Digitisation consultancy and workflow — not the sale of scanners. We specialise in non-standard digitisation: large-format and 3D scanning, digitisation of books and historical archive works, of furniture, statues and frescoes. We advise on what equipment to procure and from whom, and design the whole workflow — from scanning through post-processing (OCR, metadata, quality control) to access in a digital repository with search.
Digitisation does not end with the scan: next comes postprocessing — OCR (machine text recognition, so that documents can be searched), image processing, quality control against metrics and descriptive metadata — and only then access and long-term preservation.
Our people designed data processing technologies directly behind digitisation lines — from OCR and image processing to hierarchical archiving of millions of documents.
Implementation and operation of artificial intelligence on on-premise models — language models running in your own infrastructure, so the data never leaves the organisation. We design, build and deploy RAG, LLM and agent solutions — including the infrastructure they run on (virtualisation, servers, environment security) — and once deployed we also operate them.
Alongside specialised systems we also develop custom software — web applications, mobile applications for Android and operational software — and integrations of enterprise systems: SAP ERP, attendance systems, energy supplier systems and industrial equipment via Modbus. The result is an automatic flow of data without manual retyping.
