Monitoring and technical support

Not every problem is a breakdown — P1–P4 priorities state in advance how quickly we respond and to what. We monitor the availability of servers, networks and applications, as well as data centre operation: circuit breakers, UPS, cooling and temperatures. One monitoring system — with technical support that also responds to the measured states, within agreed times according to priority.

Two types of monitoring, clearly separated

Here we deal with monitoring infrastructure — availability of servers, networks, applications and data centre operation. Monitoring of production and technology (OEE, sensors, energy) is the same one you will find in the division Systems for industry and services.

What we monitor

Data centre operation monitoring (circuit breakers, UPS, air conditioning, temperatures), monitoring of operations and equipment, and technical support with servicing.

Not every problem is an emergency

We manage support at four priority levels. The scope, service hours and response times are agreed in the service contract according to how critical the operation is — the priority model is the same, the limits are yours.

P1 · Operation at a standstillOutage of a critical service or of the whole environment.
P2 · Serious limitationThe system is running, but with a significant impact on users' work.
P3 · Ordinary faultA partial problem with a workaround. It is handled within an agreed window.
P4 · Request and changeChanges, extensions and planned interventions with no impact on operation.

Customers with a service contract have the incident contact directly in the contract — it works outside working hours too. Please send ordinary requests to support@qintec.sk.

Experience in this area

We deploy monitoring where someone relies on the operation around the clock. Two projects from our references:

Monitoring of what is not IT

In a data centre it is not only the server that fails — circuit breakers, the UPS, air conditioning and temperature all have their own data. We have brought them together into a single overview in which the operator sees the status in real time.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between infrastructure monitoring and production monitoring?
Here we deal with infrastructure — the availability of servers, networks and applications and the operation of data centres. Monitoring of production and technology (OEE, sensors, energy) belongs to the Systems for industry and services division.
Do you also monitor the non-IT environment of the data centre?
Yes — circuit breakers, UPS, air conditioning units and temperatures. It is precisely these quantities that tend to cause outages which at first sight look like an IT problem.
What do priorities P1 to P4 mean?
Four levels of urgency: P1 is an outage of a critical service or of the whole environment, P2 a serious limitation of users' work, P3 an ordinary fault with a workaround, P4 changes and planned interventions. The model is the same for everyone; the boundaries are agreed according to how critical your operation is.
What does the monitoring run on?
On Zabbix — for the operation of data centres and for the availability and load of servers, networks and applications.
Do you respond outside working hours as well?
Customers with a service contract have the incident contact directly in the contract and it works outside working hours as well. Send ordinary requests to support@qintec.sk.
Do we have to have a service contract?
Monitoring makes sense only when someone acts on the measured readings — which is why monitoring and support go together. The scope, service hours and response times are agreed individually.

Let's agree the scope of support.

Describe your operation and how critical it is — we will propose the scope of monitoring, service hours and response times.
