Research, development and funded projects

Research that can be verified: we list every project with the ITMS number, so you will find it in the project register.

We carry out research and development projects funded from European Union funds — from monitoring non-standard conditions around a nuclear power plant, through the localisation of autonomous drones in industrial halls, to assistive software for children with a visual impairment. We have certificate of competence to carry out research and development and we work with the academic sector.

Certificate of competence to carry out research and development

Qintec a.s. holds a certificate of competence to carry out research and development and is listed in the official register of certified organisations of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic (list as at 22. 7. 2026). The certificate is valid for the years 2025–2031 — certificate (PDF).

Research projects

Research that comes back into operation

Measurement of abnormal conditions around a nuclear power plant, autonomous UAVs in manufacturing, open public administration data and the European cyber security certification scheme. Each time it is the same thing: to verify whether a new approach holds up in real operation — and to carry what proves itself over into the solutions we deliver to customers.

Cooperation with academia

On research projects Qintec works with universities and technology partners. In the intelligent systems for UAVs project, the consortium partners alongside Qintec were the Technical University of Košice and the University of Žilina.

Why Qintec does research

Research and development is not a separate world for Qintec — findings from research projects carry over directly into commercial solutions. The experience of collecting and evaluating measurements in research now runs in monitoring systems for data centres, energy and manufacturing.
